Printer Spool Not Found

    bought new printer ( Epson 645) cant install on wife's puter says ( Print spool file not found) done all research going into service and checked spool and RPC. Both RPC's are started but print spool wont start, she has window xp service pack 3. tried everything I can think of and still get message print spool file not found, how can I get it back or reinstall it, I dont have window xp home CD, all I have is a window office xp cd. need help. there must be COMPUTER GENIUS out there to help. THANKS

    Hi

    In Services for the Print Spooler is its startup type set to Automatic? if nto set it to that and reboot and try the printer.

    Also was any other printer drivers installed on this PC? if so uninstall them and reboot and then re-install the new printer driver again and reboot and test.

    If by any chance the Spooler service was deleted then you need to do the following...

    Start > Run > and type in sfc /scannow

    May need a XP CD, if you can borrow from a friend that would be good but in many cases of OEM PCs like DELL, HP etc the files are already on the HDD so you are ok.
