Printer Spool???

I have a Lexmark X6170 All in One Printer and 1 day it magically disappeared from the Printer section in my Control Panel...
When i click Add Printer it says
"Operation could not be completed. The printer spooler service is not running."
So i uninstalled all the drivers for it then restarted i was gonna start setup but it said the Printer spooler is not running click Yes to start it on click No to exit setup, i clicked Yes to start the spooler and then setup closed.
Anyone have an idea on how to start this spooler thingy??
I need the printer urgently please help!!!

 

Make sure the Spooler Service is set to Automatic. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314876

Yeah its set to auto but it was stopped thanks for the site

 

I have the same problem, but when I follow the directions an error box pops up that says "Could not start the Print Spool Service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency Service or group failed to start." So now what do I do?

wat i did was go to start>control panel>administrative tools>services
(win xp or 2k only)
Then i double clicked on Print spooler and the problem with mine was that the spool status was stopped so i just clicked start and everything was normal.
