PRINTER!! Won't print

Its a Xerox 390 laser. I was working last year. It seems to get the message to print, because it will be saying: PRINTING in the clear window, but it won't print. Anyone know about printers?

 

So a little more info would help.. does it sound like the printer is warming up? Does it make clicking noises like it is attempting to pick up paper? Does it spit out a blank page? Does it have a test page/ diagnostics function? Usually there is a menu in the LCD or a function of pressing buttons at the same time...

 

Yes, printer warms up, and saysrinting, one moment, or something like that.

Weird thing is, in the printing window on computer, when you click final 'Print' the item will come up and disappear in a few seconds in the window, which is not normal. It doesn't say 'pending' or anything its just gone. Im using the printer port on the computer, (not usb)

 

Did you go through the menu on the device and try to print?
What OS are you using?

 

Yes, same one. One thing: Printer does not show up in the add or remove program in Control Panel. Will try again. It was working on other computer, then it just stopped.
