printer won't work, in part :(

    Can someone tell me PLEASE why my Brother MFC 7300C printer/scanner won't print when I am online? I know it is not considered compatible with Windows XP, but I spent 3 days getting it to work with it. But it just refuses to print rebate forms, etc., when I'm online. I don't know much about ports, etc. I have an AMD XP 2400 motherboard, and Windows XP home. help...help.... :(
