I have an hp3390 all in one it copies scans fax and prints , the copy and print works just like it is suppose to prints the pages fast the problem is the scan part my wife is using this for work and she has to scan pages into a remotescan like program , basically an online file cabinet, hp website said it skould do atleast 10 pages per minute in scanning mode but I can getit to do only 3 ppm . she has alot of pages to do so we really need to get max productivity out of this . tried changing settings , reinstalled software, made sure it was plugged into wall outlet and not a surge protector, we are printing nothing but black and white it is connected with a usb 2.0 cable ( that is the only way it can ) called hp but didnt get any help so I thought someone here might have an idea . the o/s on the computer is win xp it is an hp computer. could it be a ram issue ? I this computer has an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 3800+ 1.80 ghz 960 mb of ram. any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Are you sure the 10ppm refers to the resolution settings you are using?
Is the receiving program HP certified for 10 ppm or is this the bottleneck?

I think it unlikely to be a RAM issue.

 

have tried different resolution settings and it still does the same between 3 and 4 ppm I am not sure about the rest of your question , where it is scanned into is a website filing system where they can scan paper files into their computer files
