Printer

I am using a n Epson All in one XP-310 printer for the past 4 years, yesterday it would not print, a notice came up Out of Paper, even though it was fully loaded. Tried just about everything I could think of, even deleted the program and re-installed it. Still getting the out of paper notice. Has anyone had this problem and found a cure? Help would be very much appreciated.

There is a little switch attached to a lever that sits on the paper in the tray. When out of paper, the switch is flipped. The actual switch can break or come out of alignment. Or it can get gummed up with paper dust. I would try flipping the switch with your finger a few times to [hopefully] clean the contacts. If adventurous, you can partially disassemble the printer and blast it out with compressed air.
