Printing mailng label via www.USPS.com fails with new JRE 1.5.0_08

Problem: Trying to print a shipping label via www.USPS.com website fails.

Symptom: Java applet will not load.

Test results:

Java JRE 1.5.0_02 does not work.

Solution:

Java JRE 1.4.2_08 works ok.

Problem was resolved by downgrading JVM to 1.4.2_08.

To reproduce the problem:

1. Install new JRE 1.5.0_02 from www.JAVA.com

2. Go to www.USPS.com

3. Register as a user, login.

4. Try to print sample shipping label.

5. Java applet fails.

6. UN-install JRE 1.5.0_02

7. INSTALL JRE 1.4.2_08

8. Go to www.USPS.com, print sample label.

9. Prints OK.
