Pro Tools LE 7.4

I bought Pro Tools about 6 months ago and didn't have any problems with it at all. Now, for some reason it keeps saying "the operating system held off interrupts for too long, try increasing the "H/W Buffer Engine Panel. (-6086)" I've increased it and nothing happens. I keep getting that same message. Can anybody help me please!?!

Computer Specs:
Windows XP
2GB RAM
32GB HDD (Boot Camp)
2.0GHz Intel Core2Duo
