    Greetings!

    Running an ASUS P5LD2-VM

Two IDE drives - an IBM and a Samsung installed on the red PRI_EIDE connector are not recognized by the IDE Detector in the BIOS.

In XP Device Manager they appear as SCSI drives and do not show up in Explorer.

    They are inaccessible to me.

    Why is this happening?

How can I get them to be recognized as the IDE drives they are by the IDE Detection system so I may use them?

I have a non bootable IDE as Primary Master, my DVD drive as Primary Slave connected to the blue PRI__IDE socket, and a S-ATA as Third Primary Master - bootable XP

Thanks in advance for any assistance!!
