Prob with £ key

Hello all,

A friend of mine as a little problem with his computer and as he doesn't have access with the net he asked me if I could post a message on the board for him. Here is his problem -

When he presses the £ key he gets # key instead it then displays a messages which reads "T.Board INP Local on USA".

His OS is Windows 2000, please could someone help me to cure this problem.

What are his keyboard settings (see Control Panel)? Are they set to use a UK keyboard?

Thank for the suggesting after confirming his keyboard settings in control Panel and apply them his keyboard is now picking up the £ sign ok, thanx for the help.
