Probelm copying files off a cd to my computer

i downloaded some music files the other day on a different computer than mine ona cd-rw. i came home to copy them , but i t would only let me copy some. the others said it was an error, with umm somethign like repitive data or something i dont remember because now it ownt even let me read the cd. i dont know why , and this has never happened to me.

anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong?

umm i dont noe if this have anything to do with that.. but drives built earlier than 1998 dont read cd-rw' s because they arent reflective enough

that could be a part of it, but the thing is that, it was reading it before. like i was able to copy some files, but then not others. i can't remember the exact message it said, but i had never saw it before, and it just bothered me a little, but that coudl be a part of the problem.
