Having a problem burning audio CDs....

Everything seems to work fine for under a certain amount of time, but once I get over around 50 minutes anything I put on sounds all garbled and distorted. The first 50 minutes are OK on the CD mind you, just once you get up over that, the tracks toward the end come out terrible.

Verified integrety of the data by burning it on a CD by itself and once again no problem (since it's under 50 min.) Problem only seems to be there when I squeeze everything I can fit on a disc up around 80 Min.

I'm using Memorex CDs on a new machine with Windows 7 and WMP...Maybe try reducing burn speed? Currently using fastest. Any tips appreciated.

Yes, slow down the burn speed. Memorex CDs and DVDs are not known for quality.

You may also want to invest in a drive cleaner disc.

If you buy one, be careful though: Although most any drive cleaner disc will work on a standard height (desktop) drive, half-height (notebook) drives require a cleaning disc that is specifically marked as safe for notebook drives. The same caveat applies if you plan to use the cleaner on a Blu-Ray, PS3, XBox or Wii drive.

    Hope this helps. :)
