Problem Burning With Nero 6

I am trying to burn a data disk with Nero 6. The file is not that large just about 200mb, of crap i couldnt loose. When i start the burn process i get an invalid command error or a device is currently being used. I have tried to restart and even reinstall nero. This is really throwing me off. Any ideas to why this might be happening?

I run virus and adware checks daily so that is not a factor. I uninstalled my nero and installed the demo you gave me. Now i get a Could not perform Fixation error, and the hole thing just stops.

Could my drive be bad?
