problem connecting netgear WG111 802.11g with xp

im having major problems trying to connect my netgear WG111 802.11g adapter to my sky broadband.

it did used to work fine (kind of fine, i still had problems with it before but always managed to get it connected) but i've not used the pc for about 2 years
other devices work wireless and the pc connects with a wire

it tells me that the connection is strong but i cant seem to load any pages from the net.

i get several different errors depending on what settings i have chosen to try to get this adapter to work.

limited or no connectivity
unable to renew ip
unable to find a certificate
acquiring network address (stays on this one and doesn't change)

tried typing ipconfig/release renew but no luck, get a message saying about not being able to do that cause of no connection

i've tried so much to sort it, if anyone has any solutions to this problem i'd love to hear them

Stuff can go bad. The WG111 is no longer supported by Netgear, and has been replaced by the WG1100.

Go into Services, and make sure that Wireless Zero Config is turned on first, before doing anything. It is going to be hard getting the drivers possibly from Netgear's site, since that product is no longer supported.

I would try a different WiFi adapter, since it is possible that the one you have is not working. If the new one works, then that could be your issue.
