Problem connecting to vgear landisk

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Hi, I bought a vgear landisk and have trouble configuring it!

Using SMC 7004ABR router[/font]
[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]WinXP Professional SP2

I set my PC IP to 192.168.2.11
Gateway/DNS = 192.168.2.1 (which is the router IP)

However, I dont know how to set fixed IP for the vgear landisk, therefore unable to access the setup from my PC at fixed IP.

But if i set my PC IP using DHCP, then I had no problem accessing vgear landisk setup!

Any help???[/font]

 

Did you connected the landisk between the router and pc? Then your router must pass an ip adres to the landisk

 

oh btw, if you use dhcp and you have no trouble then you know the landisk's ip configuration right? just open cmd and type ipconfig/all

 

The landisk is connected to the router by RJ45 connector!
