problem copying data cd (MP3's)

I have no clue what the problem is. I have sonic cd burning software and it keeps saying there was an error and the cd cannot be created. Then when I send the files to my F drive and try and burn them it says the same thing. I"ve tried all different files and no matter what it is it just won't burn. What do I need to do to get these burned. I've done it before with no problems and have no clue what is wrong now.

 

This may not be the most helpful suggestion, but maybe try a different burning tool? These two are free:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/CDBurnerXP_d4242.html (all purpose CD/DVD burning app, data/music/pictures, no video/movies)
Also look at Final Burner and Deep Burner, both in the BackUp section here at MajorGeeks... there's LOTS of other CD burning tools in there. Check it out. You could also try untinstalling the CD drive from the device manager, rebooting the PC, and allowing Windows to reload the driver. It can get corrupt from time to time, and this will repair any minor driver corruption. Good luck, and keep us posted!
