PROBLEM DOWNLOADING NEW IE help plz

hey first of all, if there is another thread with this problem i am sorry or posting, i wanted to go and get the SP2 for my computer, but it said i needed to dl the latest version of IE. ok no prob, so i thought, once i dl'ed the setup, i begin to go to setup and a message comes up, syaing : " The procedure entry point InternetGetConnectedState could not be located in the dynamic link llibrary WININET.dlll" i do not know what any of the crap means haha, so if someone could help me out with a possible suggestion(s) about what i coudl do, it woudl help because i need this first to get the SP2 so yeah i'm stuck

have U done it by windows update? and are U sure that it the .dlll or it .dll?

both are different!

 

go to microsoft's web site the update area and look around, you can find an area where they will send you the service pack 2 for free on cd. they say 4-6 weeks, but i got mine in just over a week, sadly i ordered the cd for office 2K and it is no longer in production and they also dont have SP1 in production any more either.
sp1 is a large DL so that is why i ordered it.

yeah i thought it said .dlll but i think it is just .dll , but it is hard to see, but i believe it is .dll. do you know why this happens?
