I've got a laptop here and all of the options in the Control Panel work fine except[/b] for the Internet Options applet. When I try to launch it, I get the hourglass thingy for may 2 seconds, and that's it. No error, no window opens up, nothing. I have run a multitude of "fix it" type things like Dial-A-Fix, I've run CCleaner (even though I knew that it would have no effect on this particular issue), I've run malware scans (nothing except for adware type stuff like Gamevance and HotBar). Any ideas?

    Thanks!

What version of IE? If it's anything higher than 6, I would goto Add/Remove and then uninstall it. That will revert you to the previous version of the browser. Let us know what happens.
