Problem is windows boots but when I select user it freezes

    My windows XP SP3 boots but when I select user it freezes. I have 2 user accounts and it does it with both.

    I have tried booting in Safe Mode but that freezes as well.

    What can I do?

    Would Repair Console fix it if I booted from the Windows CD ?

    You could try doing a windows repair using the windows disc. If that don't work and still does the same then i'm afraid the only thing left is a complete format and reinstalling everything back on.
