Problem managingIncoming Hotmail

My hotmail incoming mail has, until a couple of days ago, always appeared in my inbox with "Latest on top." Then couple of days ago, for some unknown reason New mail was bein placed at random into any one of 5 pages and in no sequence.
To-day I received 4 emails and had to search through all 5 pages to find them. 2 messages appeared on page 2, 1 on page 3 and 1 on page 5
I have looked in help and email option files but cannot find anything tha will manage my mails
Would appreciate any help in restoring hotmail

not sure but are you going to http://www.hotmail.com to view your emails (i.e. are you using the webmail service for hotmail and not a mail client like Outlook?)? If you are using the browser to view your hotmail emails try these steps.

1.) logon to your hotmail account using internet explorer or your favorite web browser.

2.) Go to your hotmail inbox.

3.) Now, near the top you'll see "From" "Subject" "Date" "Size". Now, click the word "Date" until they are sorted by the newest recieved first.
