Norton AntiVirus, Msconfig and TaskManager (crtl, alt, del) are seperate applications.

Some more precise and relevant information please, including basics like operating system.

Hey insomniac I was missing you.
Q:Why does norton crashes always lead to system problems?
Norton has lost its touch I would say.

I must agree with kadavill as regards norton. I am running it nevertheless but have the 2003 version of NAV & FWall. I think that this was the last version of any worth before Symantec bloated it all out as a resource hogging beast.......

As regards your current dilemna, I would guess the best way would be to completely uninstall it not only by way of the add remove but by following the Symantec directions as regards deleting all registry keys. Subsequent to that a reinstallation, if that is what you wish to do, will be most likely to yield success.

    Good Luck

Seems like this should be in the Spyware Specific section. If Norton AntiVirus, Msconfig and TaskManager are all not working I would follow their sticky to check my system.

A more comprehensive overview of your problems will be necessary before any necessary help/assistance can be provided! As others above have replied, your post is lacking enough details. ;)

Are you saying that you can not access the home page through your browser?

    Hi vinod

www.symantec.com is a non secure site, but it redirects you to a secure site for a update.

So would like to know if you have Win XP Sp1 or SP1A

If yes, there is a seperate thread for not able to access one page

There i have posted a article on how to register secure DLL files

you can follow that, that should do the trick

    enjoiii ;)
