Problem reading dvds

Hi,

I have recently built a new pc, i installed windows vista home premium with no problems, after vista was installed there have been problems loading dvds. I have done lots of tests with the drive such as taking the drive out and using it in another pc (The drive worked then), Taken a working drive out of my old pc and trying it in the new pc (didnt work ), I have looked on many forums and could not find a solution to the problem, I have tried everything such as new drivers and looking in bios but can't find a solution,
