When I reboot to Safe Mode and check the System Properties > Performance, I get a message that says: 'Windows ME can't identify a Real-Mode driver or Memory Resident program loaded in Config.sys or Autoexec.bat file. Because Windows ME cant indentify the driver or program Windows ME has switched to MS-DOS to ensure the program will run. However this decreases performance. The program or driver should be removed or updated.

I only get this message in Safe Mode, not in regular mode. How can I find and correct the bad driver or program? Where is Config.sys located? I looked on drive C: and there is a hidden system file called CONFIG.SYS but I can't seem to open it to view it as it ask for a program to open it with, which one? if at all.

Also on the hard drive C: there is a Autoexec.bat that opens with MS-DOS reader. There is not much in there. It says the Dell Resoultion program is out of enviorment space, could that be the problem?

Is it OK to post what is in the Autoexec.bat file? It is a small list.
