Problem Saving Some Webpages With Ie11

I am having some problems saving certain webpages from IE11

Some of the issues are:
*.htm (complete) files won't open properly. (25KB) [associated folder is present]
*.htm (HTML only mode) files won't open properly (25KB)
those files also won't open properly as saved with *.mht (838KB)
[sizes given are for one example webpage]
The files that open show some rubbish, headlines, advertising, etc, but the important stuff is not shown. These issues occur on ebay order detail pages

Another set of webpages will not save these three kinds of file at all - I get error message window containing the message "This webpage could not be saved". This issue arises when I try to save an Amazon product page.

Does anyone know why I am getting this, and more importantly, how to set it right ? (eg is my IE corrupt ?)

Couple of questions? Where are you saving then to? When you try to open it what are you opening it with?
Are you right clicking on the file and choosing program to open it? If so what program?
I have IE11 and I just saved this page to OneDrive Documents and then right clicked on the folder to open with IE and I is not showing any rubbish but there are no pictures and it displays differently than shown here. Still all the written content shows just fine.

I'm trying to save such files to different extant subdirectories in My ocuments folder or whatever it's called in Win 7.

For the ebay Order Details files:
I use the default program to open them, what I see opens a new tab in the already open IE11 (private mode, I almost always use that). I open the files by double left clicking on the icon.

I'm attaching what I get by saving the mht file and reopening it. Only ebay banner across the top, and the PayPal credit advert are displayed, nothing of interest. (sorry I can't get it to save the whole page at this mag.)



The Amazon product page won't save so there is nothing to open.

If you click on Page at the top in Command Bar it drops down and click on Save As. This brings up Save Webpage box. Then in Save as type choose Webpage, HTML only(*.htm;*html) Then click save. It should be in your Documents. When you open it it should show web page just as you normally see it. At least it did for me.

 

OK, I will try that...I thought that was what CTRL-S did (which is what I use to open a dialogue box which allows you to select the file type, and name from those already there or type in new one, and save it to whichever location on you computer you want to - I find this easier than the procedure you describe)

Either way works to bring up the box.

 

Well, I effectively "Clicked on Page ...then Click Save" (by using CTRL-S) and I posted an example of what I saved. This only seems to a problem with ebay Order Details pages.

This is exactly the issue I was asking about

Are you saying you are able to save ebay order detail pages ?

I do not have a ebay account so not able to bring up a order page but you mentioned having problems with more than one webpage also. Sorry I can't help you.
