I'm trying to set up a HP DJ 720C on my computer. I have XP SP3 and found the driver for this printer is already installed.

I inserted the printer disc to setup and get about halfway through the process when I get a message to insert the Windows XP disc.

Problem is I don't have a disc, now what?

    Thanks

I have an HP 722C working on an XP SP3 computer and I know it didn't ask for the XP disk because I don't have one.

What is it trying to do when it asks for the disk?

Perhaps you should visit HP's website and download the driver/software for your printer and see whether that approach works.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the driver is part of XP and the printer was discovered as soon as I plugged it in; it is not USB so I didn't have to install the software before plugging it in.
I did not put the CD included with the printer in because I rarely load all the HP software on any computer.
Yhe printer works fine with only the driver and none of the HP software.
