Problem/trouble Moving Lp Auth. From Old Cell To New One

    I realize it may be a long-shot to ask this here, but I have a 'new-to-me' phone (Samsung S10) and not everything has migrated (exported?) seamlessly from my old phone (S8), and I am particularly handicapped by not having my LastPass Authenticator (free version) on my new phone.

    It's asking for a QR Code (which I cannot seem to locate) or else I can manually set it up, but I have no clue what they mean by asking for an "Issuer", an "Account Name", and least of all a "Secret Key". Why can they (LastPass techs) not either explain what they mean by these terms, or else speak in more friendly terms, as I can assure you that somewhere between 99 and 100% of the people I know would be totally lost by this trouble, and this problem.

    So unbelievably frustrating.

    Well I found a QR Code...in the Lastpass program installed on my laptop. So I waved the magic wand (I mean my new phone) over the "code" (I mean Rorschach Inkblot) and ... well . . . who knows. I get so deep into the problems with technology, that I lose the whole train of solution/answer.

    So it "accepted" the QR Code, and now...yet again...I have no clue what I am trying to accomplish, much less (obviously) how to go about accomplishing that which I originally set-out to accomplish.

    What a nightmare...and colossal waste of time and energy.

    Well thanks, and I was aware that this was the case with their Password Manager as I have been a long time proponent of LP, however, I've been utilizing the Manager on my laptop, and the AUTHENTICATOR on my phone, since the change last year.

    So either the information that one can only utilize one OR the other is inaccurate, or I've been falling through the cracks for almost a year now.

    Maybe switching to a new phone has "repaired" that crack? I used to use Lastpass (I switched out when they started charging), so I hesitate to give possibly outdated advice. A semi-helpful suggestion (just in case you havn't already tried) - look up "Lastpass phone set up" on Youtube. For me, it's often easier when I watch a demo in addition to reading up.
