I have a problem with a couple of my users.

I recently installed wireless AP's within some of our confrence rooms. Users who have laptops like to bring their laptops with them to their meetings.

I have two users who recently complained about their laptops not connecting to the wireless AP's. I've narrowed the problem down to their port replicators. If they undock their laptops the wireless connection will not establish itself. One user reports that they use to be able to undock and the wireless connection would take over.

Can someone explain what the problem might be, a fix.

If there is more information needed let me know.

    Thanks.

I can only assume "port Replicators" are the docking station. So, if they use a docking station and its a "wired" connection, when they undock, poof! They are gone. I know with the dells we have and we use Cisco adapters and AP's it is not automatic. You still need to associate to the AP and if you are wired you are not associated wireless since they are two different adapters. What some people do is use wireless all the time even when docked and they are free to remove themselved from the station and remain connected. For those who undock and lose connection have them go to a cmd "Dos" prompt and type "ipconfig /release" then type "ipconfig /renew" this will renew ALL adapters and should bring up their wireless connection.
