Problem with booting

Hello,

I started having problems with my laptop restarting itself and then getting stuck in a loop when booting up, so I decided to go ahead and format it and re-install Windows 7. The installing went smoothly enough, but when it actually started launching it restarted itself again.

After some testing, I figured out that it always get either to the "Welcome" page or just beyond it and then it reboots itself.

Everything works fine on safe mode, which leads me to believe that this is a software issue, but I figured formatting should take care of those.

It even restarts itself when I'm running the Windows Repair function or trying to boot in with Unbutu, but never in the safe mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Go to control panel,system,advanced system setting,startup and recovery,settings, uncheck automatically restart and choose small memory dump if they're already set like that leave them and go to C:windows/minidump you may find some small mini dump files attach them with your next post,see the readme on how to attach items to your post in the using the forums how to section.

If there is a software problem this is usually where we'll find it.

If you have to alter them wait till the computer restarts or hopefully bluescreens then check again for a minidump file.

Since you have reinstalled windows and you receive the problem even when installing windows or doing a repair and even in ubuntu I would suggest what your experiencing is a hardware problem the most obvious of which would a be a sound or video card related problem as these are drivers that are loaded at the windows screen during normal use,they are also not loaded in safe mode,if there is a problem with one of these the process will be highlighted also by the minidump debug report.

Before I start suggesting fixes though could you post your computer specs as much info as possible make,model,if your unsure download speccy form the download section, create a report and attach it with your next post.
