Problem with built in laptop wireless connection!!

My sister has an HP Pavillion laptop that has built in wireless. When you try to connect to our home network, wirelessly, it will show that everything is good (connected and good) but cannot browse!!

I've gone through everything in the router and the wireless on the laptop and can't find anything!! Usually i'm pretty good at troubleshooting wireless problems, but I have to be missing something small here, and I feel like I am running in circles!! So I was wondering if somebody would be willing to walk though it with me!!?? Also...I done the virus/spyware check and I know it isn't related to that.

BTW...apparently she has this problem frequently and she just does the repair option and that fixes everything!! But it woun't fix it this time, and I would just like to know WHAT the prob is!!

It is Windows XP SP2 on an HP pavillion zv6000 series laptop, with (ofcourse) built in wireless!!

For those interested...I did a winsock reset!!

Goto Start>Run and type the following command....

netsh winsock reset

Click on ok...let it do it's thing and then reboot!!

Worked for me...hope that works for you!!
