about six months back i installed limewire on my computer. after about three weeks i removed the program because i noticed my pc was not functioning as well and had heard of problems with limewire. after removing i noticed my cd/dvd no longer play and received the error windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. i went through the troubleshooting steps of removing and attempting to reinstall which has not worked.

at the same time i charge an iphone on one of my eight usb ports and have noticed all but one don't work. i have a Compaq Presario M2000 and the cd/dvd is TEAC DW-224-C. i have searched for the drivers online and have been unable to locate them. i have windows XP home SP3 , AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ml-30, 382mb ram, and ati radeon xpress 200m.

    Hi

For your CD/DVD issue try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

As for USB, its very likely that your PC doesnt have enough power to power the iPhone and also power all your USB ports so one is disabled, this is not an issue, more lack of power from the PSU sadly.
