Problem With CD/DVD Rom

My cd/dvd burner was working a couple of days ago. :cry Now whenever I put in a disk to either read or burn it the won't read at all. If I access it through MY Computer When I click on the drive it pops out and tels me to insert a disk. :confused This really bugging me I have a ATAPI DVD W DH16W1P ATA Device

I already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I tried to update the drivers and it tels me that they are already updated. I also should metion that I have Windows Vista. If I can't fix this guess I would have to scrape up a little bit on $$ to get a new one. :guns Just trying to not go that rout unless if I have to.
