I have a Samsung CD-R/RW SW-248F on my computer and it isn't working. Used to work fine...it came installed on my PC. I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it and this is the message I get.

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).

    Can anyone help?

I fixed it. In case someone else has this problem I wanted to post my solution.

At start up I hit f1 which opens "set up". I opened cd-rom and chose f5 which restores the settings for the cd-rom to default. It works fine now.

I have no idea what caused the problem. I use Norton 2004, SpyBot and Ad-Aware and nothing was showing up.
