Problem with computer starting.

When I click the power button on my computer to start up, it's starts to load but there is no picture shown on the monitor. It doesn't show my Windows XP loading. The picture does come to the screen once it comes to the login screen. Before it does come to the login screen, there's a blue box that is being shown, than it goes away, than that's when my login screen comes up. I'm not sure if this is a software problem, or a video card problem. I don't think it's a video card problem, cause i never had this problem. I just did move all my computer parts into a new computer case, so maybe it's that. Anyways, the reason this is bugging me is cause I need to get into my bios and change my computer to load the CD ROM first for the boot. That way I can put my Linux disk into it, and it can load the linux disk. Cause before that, the screen would say, error loading os. Well i just hope that someone here knows what the problem could be, cause i can not seem to find out what the problem is.

You sure your monitor isn't slow to come out of standby?

Try this.

Turn off your computer.

Turn off your monitor, then back on. This will take it out of standby and allow it to warm up a bit.

Then turn on the computer and see if the same behaviour happens.

 

this has never happened before! there is nothing wrong with the monitor, it doesn't take long to load up.

If it was a video card problem, it wouldn't be working in Windows, either.
