Problem With Drop Down Menus For Folders After Windows 10 Install

I just installed Windows 10. Previously I had Windows 7 on my Toshiba Tecra laptop. The install seemed to go fine but I have found one big problem. I have many folders in my bookmarks toolbar and when I click on them I don't see the names of all the files in the drop down menu....I only see the icons for the files. The only way I can see the names of the individual files is by moving the cursor slowly down the drop down menu and the file names appear one at a time. The same is true when I click on history, tools, view, etc. I only see icons but not the names of all the choices until I move the cursor down the drop down menu and see them one at a time.

I'd greatly appreciate help with this issue.

I was able to figure out the problem. For some reason when I installed Windows 10 I had white text on a white background so the text was almost invisible!! Thanks for any replies.
