problem with email

I'm not too savvy about the computer. I am trying to item on an email that was sent to me. I get to the site, but the picture that should open does not.

I am running WIN98SE, 258RAM, Internet Explorer

No, that's not it endiablado. She is trying to access a web site and the pictures aren't opening up on the web page.

I think she already has it. Is there a place to enable it in Internet Options?

 

not sure on windows 98 but it should be similar

click on tools
internet options
advanced
and then look for the java tab

 

Is that the same as JIT compiler?

 

Not sure on this but I dont think so.

I think the Jit compiler is used mostly for programing java

I think you need to download the jave program and install it

I'm sorry, but she's gonna have to explain it. I appreciate the patience endiablado. This is the first she's tried posting and isn't used to the board yet. We're in 2 different locations and she can't keep up with what I'm saying. I know that she does surf the web quite a bit and that link is the first one she's had problems with on the pics. Could it be a plug in that she's missing to view the galaxy pics?

I have opened this item in the past. I don't know why I can't now. I have the site that I want. Where the pic should be there is a square with a tiny square in the upper left hand side with some small shapes (red, blue & green).

Maybe her settings have changed

go to the options again and double check all the options there


click on the restore to default buttom

I remember the first time I posted a question, I was nervous and anxious at the same time. I understand

 

She had a few boxes in Multimedia that were not checked so I told her what to check. She's gonna try the link again and see it it works now. Thanks for being here for her, you guys are great.


She's got my old computer that she bought 2 years ago & everything worked great till a few weeks ago.
