Problem with FireFox and MSIE?

    I installed windows updates for my grandmother's computer, and now certain webpages say they cannot be displayed (like if you go to Yahoo.com and click on email) on MSIE 7. It is definately not the internet because I am obviously typing as we speak with an internet connection. Another example is I can go to cingular.com and can visit every link but I can't log in.

    FireFox is even worse. I can't view a single web page with FF.

    I thought it might be security settings but I tried default settings and also made sure the SSL etc were enabled...besides, I can check my Army email which is an https site, so I don't think it is a security thing.

    actually nevermind, I can't visit the Army web page.

    have you tried uninstalling and re installing?

    you can also try updating the JRE on that machine. and make sure that all previous versions of JRE are uninstalled if I remember right.
