   After an auto-update to Firefox 3.0.9 the opening screen opens over the browser and hides it. How do I get rid of the opening nag screen?

   'nag screen' was the wrong term. its the screen that says 'firefox has been updated' but it won't go away. their tech forum said to delete file 'prefs.js' but that didn't help.
