Need more info. What is it that you are having problems with? The two icons are the same?

    Hey, guy!

The one on the right looks like a standard XP icon, but the one on the left looks like a 16 x 16 icon (made for small-icon display settings and the systray).

Have you tried the simple move of right-clicking the bad icon, choosing Properties, clicking Change Icon, and choosing the icon again? It may only offer you a single picture of an icon, but re-setting that sometimes makes a difference.
(That particular icon is actually a whole bunch of icons (9, probably) in a single icon file, and the display is supposed to pick the right one to show fro each task and each environment. Sometimes, ... well, you know.)
Click the picture, Apply and OK your way out, and then close that window and open it again or click F5 to refresh your display.

    Let us know, eh?

F5 didn't work only right clicking and choosing the icon again, what erks me is that its a windows icon dll.

Its a possibility that the Icon's may need repairing... I just ran into a similar-ish thing whilst playing around with my shell32.dll file ( I want a new look the Windows default is looking tired after 2 years )

so I used TweakUI for XP to rebuilt the icons.... maybe it will help you maybe not.

or if you not using XP then the link for the standard TweakUI

I didn't mean that you could just use F5 to fix it. I meant that after you tried to fix it by choosing the icon again, you could use F5 to see whether the fix worked.

Yep, it's a Windows dll file that stores those icons, but each of those icons is a complex object, composed of 9 or so versions of the icon image, and Windows sometimes screws up and uses the wrong version. I hoped that if you reset the icon, it would fix the display, and I think you're saying that it worked.

    Great!

(If you use a commercialware icon manager utility, you can see the many versions of that image inside the one icon. Shell32.dll has a lot of icons in it, and many (most?) of them are complex, made up of many images. When you try to edit one of those icons in the manager's editor, it asks you WHICH icon you want to edit, and lists all of the different versions that are in that "icon.")

Thanks guys for the fast reponse, I have had one problem with tweakui for rebuild icons is that it gives all low 16 icons and such for everything.
