problem with IE7

Tried to install ie7, went through all the validation procedure (ok) downloaded, installed. When trying to execute ie7 starts shows on screen for about 1/4 of a second then is gone. Uninstalled, cleared reg, reinstalled with virus prot off spam block off no other programs running, even disabled firewall. Still does the same thing. Running windows XP home with sp2 although initially my version of XP didn't include SP2. Is this the problem? Not a huge deal as I use firefox anyway but wouldn't mind it working. If i Uninstall ie7 the previous version works fine.

 

IE7 is still in beta. Try again when it is officially in the final release.

 

Yep will do that, like I said don't really use it anyway, just annoys me when stuff doesn't work. Thanks for the reply

 

Got it to work, had to reverse all changes I made using Black viper config. Thats microsoft for you I guess.
