Problem with malicious program called Free_Sex_Download

Hi!

Running XP, and somewhere, somehow, I have a program called Free_Sex_Download (only 2KB) in my C: drive.

I try to delete the program, but I get that it can't be deleted ..standard message..program may be in use, or disk is write protected.

I used task manager to look at all the processes running, and have not been able to identify that program running. Even used a program from here which identifies processes..no luck.

Any thoughts?

Hey Terrel,
In a situation like this my first try would be to boot to safe mode and try deleting from there. -I'd also Make sure both Adaware SE, and Spybot S&D were installed, UPDATED (caps because updating is so important), and run one after the other.
Less immediately: it goes without saying that a decent (updated) antivirus was running as well as a firewall.
If this doesn't fix it then hopefully someone with more experience than I can help you out.

Turn off System Restore before trying to delete it. This facility, as useful as it can be, can sometimes re-instate it automatically
