Problem with Microsoft Updates

    When I tried to run Windows Update today nothing happened; well not very much. IE opened but all i got was a completely blank screen (see attached image). Nothing at all then happened.

    Any ideas as to what my problem may be? What solutions are there?

    Your address is incomplete. You are also in the internet zone (towards bottom right)
    You have http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
    and I have http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us when I click Windows Update (XP Home SP3)

    I put your address in FF and saw these instructions at the site windowsupdate.microsoft.com
