problem with my .dll's?

    Someone had my computer for a year and a half, After i gotten it back there seems to be some problems with my computer's .dll's.


    For example when I try to open add or remove programs I get the following."An exception occured while trying to run C:\WINDOW\System32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOW\System32\appwiz.cpl",Add or Remove Programs.

    I have a windows xp professional os

    Start > Run > type CMD press enter

    type sfc /scannow press enter

    **you may need the Windows Disc**
