Problem with my new memory...

I recently bought a pair of DDR2 memory sticks, 1 week apart. Both of them are 2 GIG, 5400 667 GHz DDR2 memory sticks from Corsair. I have 1 of them in my computer which is Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. Running on 1 stick, Windows loads up qucikly, and my games and such along with the OS runs smoothly enough. My motherboard can hold up to 8 gigs on a 64 bit system, but when I put the second stick of DDR2 into the second slot (Trying to use Dual-Channel, not the slot beside the other one.) Windows starts to take 10-30 minutes or MORE to load up. Every program and such runs very slow once it does load. Both of the memory slots work fine with only 1 stick in there in either slot, but for some reason 2 sticks cause the slowdown when it should not. Is there any way to fix this problem and let my computer run at 4 gigs in Dual Channel Mode?

Please include the MB you are using, or if an OEM, the make and model of your computer.

Hmm, well it's a Systemax computer, and the motherboard is an Intel Desktop Board DQ965GF as for OEM, is that the type of Windows installation? Cause I did buy windows 7 from a computer store. Also I have a 2 TB hard drive as my main drive. Also, my processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 @ 1.80 Ghz 1.80 Ghz, as well.

Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

I would try to run memtest with both sticks in and see if one or both are bad.

Mem sticks can be bad every once in a while you might get a bad patch of them. You will need to leave this running for a few hours.

Well, I did say that I've tried running them both together and it slowed down my system, loading windows around 10-30 minutes later after I reboot. But, I've tried running one stick at a time.. switching them out for each other to test both, and they both run windows 7 just fine, loading it and running things smoothly by themselves. It's when I try to dual-channel that they slow things down. As far as I know they're both good, but I'll try the memtest when I get a free many hours that I don't need to use my computer.

Are you putting the matching sticks into the matching colored slots?

To be fully compliant with all applicable IntelĀ® SDRAM memory specifications, the
board requires DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure.
You can access the PC Serial Presence Detect Specification at:

Desktop Board DQ965GF has four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets arranged as DIMM 0
and DIMM 1 in both Channel A and Channel B.
Guidelines for Dual Channel Memory Configuration
Before installing DIMMs, read and follow these guidelines for dual channel
    configuration.
    NOTE
The Intel Management Engine in the chipset requires memory to be populated in
Channel A, DIMM 0 in order for it to enable Intel Quiet System Technology and
    Intel Active Management Technology.

    Two or Four DIMMs
Install a matched pair of DIMMs equal in speed and size (see Figure 13) in DIMM 0
(blue) of both channels A and B.

If additional memory is to be used, install another matched pair of DIMMs in DIMM 1
(black) in both channels A and B (see Figure 14).

yes, I put both sticks into the blue slots, or slot 0 for both. And it says dual channel mode when i go into bios, but when I load up windows, it begins the slow loading. Both sticks are identical in size and speed and GB amount. even the manufacturer is the same.
