I put some videos on separate DVD's. One is DVD-R, and the other is DVD+R. They won't play in my DVD player(Cyberhome) but they play fine on my laptop(HP). All the other DVD's I own play on the DVD player as well. Can someone give me an idea why this may b happening?

    Thanks

Well first check the video compression types you have burned to disk are supported by your DVD drive, burning the videos as DVD's usually gives the most chance of success, only problem is you can only two hours of video on to one disk.

The other main reason they wont play is because your DVD player doesn't like the disks you have bought, this is common, you may have to try a few brands of writeable disks before you find one your DVD player likes.

    Sorry for the late reply.:)

I realized since the file was saved in AVI format it can't work because my DVD player doesn't support that format. So I had a friend convert it to DVD format. It works.

    Thanks
