Problem with printer reinstall

    Computer problem unrelated to printer caused me to use system restore (Win XP Pro) and in the process I lost the control panel for my PSC 1350xi printer. I downloaded the "Full Feature Software and Driver" from HP's web site. The file (gc_w01_ENU_NB.exe) extracts when double clicked but does not run.

    Does this mean the file is corrupted or are there other issues?

    Try downloading and running HP Scan and Print Doctor to see if that remedies your control panel disappearance issue.

    Can you try to run the installer from the extraced files? (Setup.exe or something similar.)

    The box "extracting files" runs but no files show up.
    Re-downloaded the "Full Feature Software. . ." file and it does the same thing-extracts but doesn't run.

    Tried that first-no love there.

    Maybe the install files were extracted to your Temp folder?
