Problem with screen saver

A few days ago my screen saver was running fine. In desktop properties, I have screensavers turned off, but I had a shortcut on my desktop and in the quick launch bar for the screensaver. It went directly to system32\logon.scr. I don't use it often, but this morning I went to run it, and I got the "what do you want to open this with?" message. If I go to desktop properties/screen savers and look at a preview it will work fine. But if I try to launch a screensaver with my desktop/quick launch shortcuts, I get the error message. In Folder Types, there is no file association for .SCR which seems odd.

    Any ideas?

I think .scr has been disconnected from whatever usually opens screen savers.

    THANKS!

Problem solved! Our hero, Doug Knox, has a .reg file at his site that worked like a charm. I have no idea how the .scr extension got changed, but DK fixed it!
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm (.scr is down the list a bit)
