I'm running Spybot Search and Destroy with all the updates and it found some problems. I chose to fix the problems but first it wanted to backup the registry and create a system restore point. However, it hangs when it tried to make a system restore point. Can I chose to not make a system restore point? If so how?

I have plenty of RAM and a good CPU but the registry on my computer is not the best. This is a test machine for installs that I made and there have been a few bad installs to say the least.

Change your Mode (at the top) to Advanced and then go into Settings. Click the Settings icon and uncheck the Create a Restore Point item. I, too have experienced the apparent hangs when Spybot creates a restore point, but, if left long enough, it will finish and allow problem removal to be completed.
