Problem with VGA converter

    I bought a VGA converter (VGA 2000 http://www.amazon.com/High-Resolution-Component-Input-Xbox/dp/B001D7G6X4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1282800327&sr=8-1 ).

    I used it to connect my Wii to my Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW. It works fine for the most part. However, it will sometimes randomly black out for a few seconds. I thought it was an issue with it also being connected to my computer, but even after I connected it to only the monitor and wii, the black outs would still occur occasionally. Does anyone know how to solve this?

    what resolution/refresh rate is needed for it? i see some reviewers saying its picky about that.
