I am currently taking a course to attain my MCP. So, at home I have an extra computer I am trying to install WIndows 2000 Server...however, I was supposed to install W2k Pro...which I have.
    Here is the situation.
The computer I have, my play comp., had WinME...I was installing my Windows 2000 Server and I got to a point of this error.
    Windows-Unable to load device driver:
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\mrxsbm.sys device driver could not be loaded. Error Status was 0xc0000221

And I am stuck. I want to be able to take off what I have done but I can't figure it out...then I want to install my W2K pro...

does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do?
    Thanks.

mrxsbm.sys <-- are you sure that's the filename?

Can't find anything on it, don't think it's a MS file.

I'm assuming you want to format and install Win2k pro. What I'd do is boot from the 2k CD and install Windows from there. You can format along the way. Here's a handy install guide:

As long as you boot from the 2k pro setup CD (rather than the HDD) then the 2k pro install will start and you can nuke the drive. Go into BIOS setup to enable boot from CD.

If a 2k Server screen comes up then you'll know you're booting from the HDD rather than the CD.

    okay, here's the deal.

I am now able to start the setup process for Widows 2000 Professional but now when it gets to the "performing final tasks" step...it freezes on "Saves Settings"

I think I am smelling incompatibility with WIN2K....

Check all your devices for BIOS/Firmware updates. Make sure you meet the requirements.

More specs on your system may help.
