problem with wmiprvise.exe

whatever this program is it keeps on having to shut down. I looked it up on google and only got two results: http://www.google.com/search?client...en&q=what+is+wmiprvise.exe&btnG=Google+Search
in the first result I found this:

What I want to know is how to fix it or if I should disable or delete it somehow?

according to this there is a great likelyhood that mine is a trojan. The WMI that's having a hard time running on my comp is in my c:\document path. I tried dling a registry fix from this site: http://www.lidownloads.com/partners/registrybooster/
but the exe had some access denied error. I tried tracking it down manually according to the errors I keep getting but I can't seem to find it. I unhid some files but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions or specific advice to get rid or this? The specific WMI give error has to shut down about 20-30 times a day, highly annoying.

ps I'm using Antivir PE classic with virus definitions taken yesterday, preformed a full scan and I am still encountering this problem.
